a few pics...

I will add a proper post soon I promise - things are just a bit flat out here this week - tends to happen from time to time with 3 kids and work and life in general as I am sure you all know!!

Plus in my efforts at being healthy I have injured my wrist- right hand- so am really limited with what I can do now for a little bit hopefully having it strapped up will sort it out in a day or two!

I thought I would add a pic of Indy's room- which those who know us can agree is usually a well lived in room!  She has been asking me to include her quilt and curtains which she helped construct and I did promise I wouldn't say she is always messy - as I guess she isn't just "busy" stray pink sock and Cats scarf still out on bed even though season is well and truly over - and all!! Maybe if she see's this online she may be more tempted to have a little late spring clean up? Nasty mumma aren't I!!

Out to the shops quickly now.... then some eyes and faces for Mr Rabbit to take care of- see how far I get with those with my wrist.

What have you all been doing this week?

A happy Tuesday

I have had a great day - have managed to get lots done even with Miss 8 home from school unwell.

I must admit the first half hour was spent with me doing a lot of staring into space trying to remember what it was that I wanted to get done.............this seams to becoming more of a habit these days.

But once I got started today I was onto a good thing- cup day and all- well my first bit of news was that my horse I had in my other works sweep was the one scratched- but I won $130 for that so not too bad I guess!

Back to production line today- I managed to complete my designs on some new softie's toys I have been contemplating for a while- Mr Rabbit and Miss Dolly- designed their patterns and cut out pieces and put together 3 of each, they just need their faces and filling now - then I was kinda over them and needed a break from them for a bit...

So onto some more little miss skirts for upcoming market and summer stock for the shop- 7 more all up so am happy with that also and I have tomorrow to get onto some more allsorts purses and fab badges.....hope to be as productive as today!

The wind here was insane today with rain literally coming in sideways in what seemed like great bit waves crashing against the windows upstairs- and we don't live near the beach...

What have you all been up to today?

Hope your days was productive as mine...

Pip's meme this weeks theme - Blog HQ care of Ninon

This is mostly my HQ's ; my trusty pfaff, indy's janome behind and overlocker, a few unfinished and current projects on the go and inspiration board I have decided needs an up date- love doing this makes me feel all fresh again, even though technically a lot of blogging and PC work is done from my fav possie on the couch- my sister can vouch for this!!

As well as the dinning table which is also a grand working spot and another fav of mine as its a super large square table where I can spread out and also has great light and is super warm in winter and airy in summer not to mention close to the fridge for a drink stop- maybe I need to relocate the dining area and move in there??

I also have been known to have a sewing table - a great vintage green old school desk- in the lounge area upstairs which is a. warm and b. has ace views of the mountain.  So to be perfectly honest I have kinda taken over the whole house with my HQ's....hmmm ah well tis all good and I haven't moved into the kids bedrooms yet!! Although they have the best views of the garden.....

Thanks again Pip for hosting & Ninon for theme.
Might go check out some more HQ's now.

Happy week wishes to you all :)

Wednesday already!!

It's that time of the year again that just flies by and before we all know it we're sitting around feeling almost too full to eat left over triffel for brekkie and thinking about which pressie to play with and continuing eating just because it's that time of the year so we can!! [ Im sure that's not just me that feels that way every boxing day- is it?].

Today went by so fast- started early at the gym, then home to get kids up and ready for school then dropped kids at school, then home again sorted some of my never ending washing/folding/ironing pile, then just enough time to make 1 summer range vintage inspired fabric scarf, then off to the pool to watch Indy's swimming class and help the girls get their caps on and off and get changed quickly enough for Indy to give out some snakes to her class- it is getting towards the end of week 2 of swimming and as much as they all enjoy it they are now starting to show just how tired it is making them.

Then back home to make 4 more scarves, {pics to come},  then cook tea and get kids bathed and in PJ's so that the next few hours is a little easier and bedtime will hopefully happen earlier too as I have another early start tomorrow leaving home by 7:30am for work.....bring on the day I can just work from home!!!!

Sorry about dodgy phone pic this was actually taken to send to my sister to see if she like or not.
Well that's my day so far - it will now be not until at least Friday night/ Saturday morning that I can continue sewing and creating and I can almost already feel withdraw symptoms setting in- I just kinda feel happy and serene when I am making and creating.....ahhhhh

What have you been doing?

Lazy sunday afternoons......

As much as I do love lazy sunday's I had some work to do.... more bears to make

They're getting there and look quite happy on my couch.

Project no. 2 - bath mats-

these I have wanted to put together for months now so decided I would chop chop chop and just do it...the first "trial" shall stay and live with me as is a bit wonky and I do love things that are just not perfect they seem so much more "real" to me like they are more deserving to hang around some how-  more likely to not be pretentious and just fit in and be willing to help out when needed I love that!  Does anyone else get that?

Batch 2 for shop

Project 3:
More vintage inspired dresses for shop
Think Pink one is my fav...but I love the blue too...Indy has chosen a great green spotty one- I also live that one- lucky Oskar is a boy or I don't know just how many would actually make it in store.

Well that's my lot for this weekend now I'm off to have a looksie at other's bedsides...I love this game thanks again Pip!

And I'm thinking after such a productive Sunday surely I can have a lazy Monday afternoon?  xo

pips meme this weeks theme "bedside" as per pottymouthmama

My very busy but productive bedside area....hmmm hadn't actually ever stopped to think about what it looks like- a bit messy but it works well for now;

My old touch lamp for middle of the night visits from children, a stash of my fav books and mags plus an ever changing group of kiddies favs for stories in bed at night or early on weekends to give me that "little bit longer in bed" before its up to cook pancakes- Oskar's fav brekkie on a Sunday.  And a spare pillow beside bed for such an occasion so I don't end up getting up with a crook neck.  A lot of planning and gathering seems to have gone into this space.

I also have a ritual of lip balm after brushing teeth before sleeping?

Mix of notebooks for all the best ideas that come to you in the middle of the night- one for business one for home....

A fowler bowl for all my last minute jewelery removals that I really cant be bothered getting out of bed to put away and lots of spare hairbands for chucking the hair back in the morning.

My phone charging for next day or for last minute communications if hubby is working shift work.

An awesome letter/card from my daughter- makes me smile every time I read it!

And a glimpse of my hot water bottle for our cold Tassie  nights....

Whats on your bedside?

Our sleeping cat- Zac enjoying the sunshine, I wonder where Zeppelin his brother is - no doubt exploring - he seams to enjoy being out and about a bit more than Zac who is quite content to just be at home ready for all his cuddles when Indy & Oskar return home from school.

We have had more beautiful weather here yesterday and today- I cant wait to get into the garden for a play and a weed tidy up-  yesterday I spent at the show with Oskar which was a lot of fun- tiring though even though I did have a great group of kids to look after and 2 other mums to chat with.  And today I was indoors at work all day.  Another day at work tomorrow and then the weekend hooray to that I say!

How was your day?
